1. Who we are
Bellvow is a wedding budget planning application. When this policy refers to "we", "us", or "Bellvow", it means the operator of this service. For questions about this policy, contact us at hello@bellvow.com.
2. What data we collect and why
Account data — If you create an account, we store your email address and any profile information you provide. This is necessary to provide the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Budget and expense data — Any wedding budget figures, vendor names, and payment details you enter are stored in your account and used solely to provide the planning features. We do not sell or share this data with third parties.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) — With your explicit consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use Bellvow. GA4 collects:
- Pages visited and time spent
- General location (country / city level — not precise)
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- How you arrived at Bellvow (e.g. direct, search, referral)
GA4 does not collect your name, email address, or any data you enter into the app. Analytics cookies are only placed after you click "Accept analytics" in the cookie banner. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Payment data — Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing: stripe.com/privacy.
3. Cookies
We use two types of cookies:
- Strictly necessary — Required for the site and app to function (session management, security). No consent required.
- Analytics — GA4 cookies, placed only after you accept via the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or declining via a fresh visit.
4. Data transfers outside the EU
Google Analytics 4 may transfer data to servers in the United States. Google LLC participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which provides an adequate level of data protection under EU law. You can review Google's commitments at business.safety.google/privacy.
5. How long we keep your data
- Account and budget data — Kept for as long as your account is active, and deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
- GA4 analytics data — Retained for 14 months in Google Analytics, then automatically deleted. You can adjust your GA4 data retention settings in your Google account.
6. Your rights under GDPR
As a resident of the EU / EEA, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
